Workshop Description

A bright and brash character may have no problem stealing the stage in a novel, but how does she do it in a picture book?

Illustrators have more control over what viewers look at than they realize. How can you, as an illustrator, make sure your reader is looking at the right focal point or the right character first? Color and light are the picture book stage director’s best tools, but there are many others as well.

Come learn the tricks of the trade to direct your viewers’ eye right where you want it to be. While this topic is directed at illustrators, writers may learn some valuable lessons as well.
