Wait? What? A Synopsis?

What you need to know:

  • **This online program will focus on getting the plot of your novel down to a single page, double spaced document. Probably the most difficult assignment a writer can undertake. 
  • **To format and submit a SYNOPSIS for the online program go to SYNOPSIS
  • **SYNOPSIS sent for written critique, submit no later than September 25, 2017. 
  • **Written Critiques will be returned no later than November 17, 2017.

Stacy Whitman is the founder and publisher of Tu Books, an imprint of Lee & Low Books that publishes diverse middle grade and young adult fiction. Books she has edited include American Indian Youth Literature YA Award and Top Ten Quick Picks title Killer of Enemies by Joseph Bruchac and Summer of the Mariposas by Guadalupe Garcia McCall, which received a starred review from School Library Journal and has been placed on numerous lists, including the Amelia Bloomer Project, School Library Journal’s Best of 2012 List, and the Lone Star Reading List. In 2013, Stacy founded the New Visions Award, which honors a new unpublished writer of color. Her newest titles are graphic novel I Am Alfonso Jones written by Tony Medina and illustrated by Stacey Robinson and John Jennings, and novels Rebel Seoul by Axie Oh, and Ahimsa by Supriya Kelkar.
