SCBWI Carolinas in 2019

2019 is our 10th Annual ART & WRITING SCBWI Carolinas Contest

FOR THE MOST INFORMATION~

We ask you to read through the FAQs, the Official Contest Rules WRITING CONTEST and Official Contest Rules ART CONTEST and the Membership Requirements.

Your regional team works tirelessly to consistently apply the rules and requirements equally to each entry received when administering either the Writing or the Art contest.

SCBWI Carolinas accepts contest entries ONLY DURING the month of February of the contest year. Any entries received before or after February are deleted.

So you finished your rough draft of your picture book, chapter book, middle grade, young adult novel, fiction or nonfiction! Whoa! Good Job. Now it’s time for REVISION QUEST.

Revision is a skill. Some authors love it and for others revision is downright painful. But ask any author and they’ll tell you it’s then that the real work is done. It’s when a manuscript is pulled apart – one sentence, one scene, one chapter at time. It’s the only way writers can see whether they’ve done what they set out to do, or not.

APPLY BETWEEN FEBRUARY 1 AND 11, 2019
