ARE YOU READY?

▪   Have you read  Tips, Tidbits and The Inside Scoop Blog?

▪   Check out our To Tell A Tale Conference Information Page For all the download information.

▪   Brush up on the conference activities, schedule and faculty bios so you can get the most out of the conference.

▪   THE BOOK  BASKET PROGRAM.  Please bring a new or gently used book for the Child Care Resources Inc., an agency that provides services for Child Care Centers and Family Child Care Homes. The licensed Family Child Care Homes serve children 0-12 years of age in homes.

▪   PARKING: The Crowne Plaza Hotel was chosen for it’s easy access off Tryon Blvd and Exit 5 of I-77. The parking lot surrounding the hotel is for all attendees and parking is FREE.

PLEASE NOTE: The Crowne Plaza is at the end of a major remodel. Our general sessions will now be in The Piedmont Ballroom, opposite Salons C,D & E. The Carolinas Ballroom where we have met for general sessions in the past is now a wonderful lounge and restaurant. The meeting rooms remain the same.

While this should not be an inconvience for any of us, things have changed and we are excited about the conference and the way in which Crowne Plaza Hotel works with us for an excellent weekend experience.

Check out  the après-conference Team Trivia, with Emcee Alan Gratz on Friday night. You may be participating in our Red-Eye Critiques or just meeting and greeting old friends and making new ones. This is a time to discuss all things children’s lit. Get a good night’s sleep.

WE HAVE A FULL DAY ON SATURDAY

From the continental breakfast in the Carolinas Ballroom lobby, to the opening keynote by Author, Linda Ashman to the Evening Social, Saturday is a full day. In addition to fabulous breakout sessions, we honor our 2014 Art and Writing Contest Winners and award our bookbasket. And on Saturday after our Evening Social and Autograph Party stop in at the Mentorship and Author's Roundtable Panel or the Working Illustrator Schmooze.

And our conference is not done!

ON SUNDAY

You have a choice of three ninety minutes sessions and the closing keynote by Author Carrie Ryan.

Don't cut out early. We have our annual drawing for the William Hooks Scholarship. You could win free tuition to our 2015 conference!

We’re looking forward to this conference, it’s been a lot of work. We have a fabulous faculty, a great facility and sessions that are meant to inform and, yes, even amaze. It’s going to be an exciting weekend.
