AT THE 22ND ANNUAL SCBWI-C FALL CONFERENCE.

We’re all about children’s books, and especially those books published by SCBWI members who are participating in our conference. We are proud of the number of published authors and illustrators in our region.

Writing and illustrating can be a very solitary endeavor. The annual conference Autograph Party gives us the opportunity to shine the spotlight on those who have succeeded in attaining publication.  

WHEN IS THE AUTOGRAPH PARTY?

On Saturday evening we all gather in the SALON B to mix and mingle at our Evening Social,  between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM.  The Autograph Party begins at 7:00 PM.

DO I HAVE TO BUY THE BOOKS IN ADVANCE OF THE CONFERENCE?

No. We have a conference bookstore that will be chock full of books about the art and craft of writing and illustrating for children as well as books by SCBWI members attending and/or presenting at our conference, who have been commercially published by one of the organizations listed in the SCBWI Market Surveys

WHAT ARE THE BOOKSTORE HOURS?

The conference bookstore, located in Magnolia/Dogwood/Azalea, is open Friday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and on Saturday before the conference, during lunch and Saturday night from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM during the Evening Social and the Autograph Party. The conference bookstore is CLOSED on Sunday.

Teresa joined SCBWI in 1996, and became SCBWI C RA in 2009. She writes mysteries and science fiction because that's what she likes to read. Both daughters are now grown and Teresa and her husband consider themselves unsupervised, except for three rescued dogs that seem to be in charge of the household but do not have to be sent to college.
